Spring is the perfect time to buy or sell a home. It’s also a great time to refresh your landscaping with color. Add vibrant color with flowers to make your home cheery and inviting, whether you plan on moving or not!
Annuals
Annuals are plants that complete their entire life cycle in one season. Therefore, when you plant flowering annuals, they are usually blooming already, and provide instant color to your landscape because they are already mature.

Consequently, annuals seem to immediately fit right in among your existing plants and continue to grow and bloom all season, until their life cycle ends. At this point, the plants can be removed and discarded.

However, the color doesn’t have to stop at the end of the season! We are so fortunate in Florida that there are annuals that grow during every season due to our warm weather. This means that you can refresh your landscape with color all year ’round, using various types of flowering annuals, depending on the season.
Petunias and Pansies are ideal for Spring planting in Florida. They love Florida’s hot days and cooler nights in Spring.
Besides adding color to your landscape borders, think about planting annuals in a circle around larger trees (maybe even a palm) or hanging a basket filled with flowers on your porch or patio. If you’re creative and love to plant, design a beautiful pot with a variety of flowers and smaller plants.
